to apply for the job

Every day, the Tenants' Association, its elected representatives, employees, and members contribute to improving housing for people. We have been doing this for many years, and we want to continue advocating for tenants' interests, rights, and opportunities to influence their living conditions in the future. Do you love finding solutions, contributing to empowering your surroundings with knowledge, and are passionate about changing society? Then this could be the right role for you!

Working in our grassroots movement

Working at the Tenants' Association means contributing every day with commitment, heart, and enthusiasm to create benefits for tenants, members, and engaged individuals. Regardless of the role, we are part of something bigger – a democratically governed, non-profit organization with a strong belief in people's willingness to engage and take responsibility, both individually and together with others.

We meet each other with warmth, care, respect, and trust. We start from the tenant's perspective and their willingness to engage. Through collaboration, organization, and accountability, we build a safer living environment where people and society can develop.

It is our elected representatives, engaged members, and tenants who set the direction for our work – their needs, experiences, and engagement are the foundation for everything we do.

About the role

In this role, you will be a hub in the region's administrative and organizational work. You will ensure that the region's administrative processes function efficiently, coordinated, and equitably, and provide close operational support to managers and the management team.

The role combines structure, service, and proactivity. You contribute both to long-term order and development – and to the daily operations functioning here and now. To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be outgoing, comfortable collaborating with many points of contact, and not hesitate to tackle issues that need to be resolved.

Your responsibilities and tasks

In the role, you will:

  • Provide administrative service and support to managers and the management team.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute meetings, conferences, and other gatherings within the civil servant organization.
  • Plan, follow up, evaluate, and develop administrative work processes in close collaboration with the responsible unit manager.
  • Be a support resource in IT, procurement, and facility matters, and contribute to standardization and development of work methods.
  • Act as ordering support for new hires and terminations, including IT permissions, basic equipment, office supplies, and contracts.
  • Be responsible for the registration and deregistration of employments as well as signing and terminating relevant contracts within the assignment.
  • Provide administrative support to the management coordinator and be part of the region's crisis group.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is outgoing, confident, and communicative, and who thrives in a role where you can coordinate, support, and drive issues forward. You are solution-oriented, see opportunities rather than obstacles, and are not afraid to take responsibility when something needs to be clarified or improved.

You likely have experience in some form of work leadership, coordination, or a coordinating role, and are used to working closely with managers or leadership functions. You find it easy to create structure while being flexible when circumstances change.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Relevant education in administration, coordination, or equivalent experience that we assess as comparable.
  • Several years of experience in administrative work, preferably in a coordinating role or as management support.
  • Experience working independently and taking initiative.
  • Very good proficiency in digital tools and the Office suite.
  • Excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

  • Experience in work leadership, coordination, or responsibility for others.
  • Experience from non-profit, member-driven, or public organizations.
  • Experience in procurement processes, basic IT administration, or facility matters.
  • Experience in crisis or emergency work.

What do we offer?

We offer a varied and meaningful job where you can influence how we organize and develop our work. You will become part of a values-driven organization with strong community engagement and colleagues who are passionate about making a difference.

The position is a one-year temporary contract, and for the right person, there are good opportunities to eventually find a permanent position within the region. The position is based in Linköping, with assignments across the entire region. The start date is as soon as possible, and selection and interviews will be ongoing.

We place great importance on personal suitability and apply a probationary period.

The Tenants' Association is divided into nine regions across the country. The work and needs may vary depending on the geographical area. All regions coordinate the efforts needed for their respective districts, and all expertise is gathered here in the form of lawyers, negotiators, and business developers. As an organization, we are passionate about everyone having the right to good housing at a reasonable cost.

Region Southeast is a workplace that spans 52 municipalities and six counties. We have over 70,000 members and about 100 employees. We have several qualified professional groups, and our employees work independently with great responsibility, thus providing significant development opportunities. Different professional groups often work together, as well as with elected representatives and in direct contact with members. This requires employees to feel part of the whole organization and understand the meaning of operating in a grassroots movement.
